H and went to the Mexico v. Sweden friendly at the Oakland Coliseum last night. As always, it was great fun in the midst of the energy and the crowd that always responds to a visit by the Mexico National Team or "El Tricolor". Attendance was close to 46,000. The game itself had a few moments, but most of the excitement and energy game from the crowd (while it was in the parking lot and then continuning inside the Coliseum).
The Q's showed off their new jersey sponsor in different ways - including a huge inflatable Q's jersey with "A" word on it. If the Q's could somehow tap just a small part of this hispanic furvor for futbol it would be HUGE. Just how is this done? We'll see.
